Job summary

Millennia Housing Management seeks a Maintenance Technician I to coordinate tasks and supplies for preparing vacant units for re-occupancy. You will assist with special projects and maintain property exteriors, common areas, and grounds to ensure a safe, attractive environment.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager, and requires strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Local travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum of prior experience in property maintenance or related field.
• Reliable transportation to travel to job sites as needed.
• Willing and able to travel locally if required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Superior customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of apartment building maintenance and common area upkeep.
• Knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair routine maintenance issues.
• Knowledge and ability to operate power tools.

Responsibilities

• Clean/restore recently vacated apartment homes.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility and grounds.
• Change bulbs, locks, or other common area/unit upkeep.
• Process work orders for maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with appliance installation as needed.
• Exterior/interior painting and caulking; light drywall repair.
• Physically handle painting, pressure washing, and lot upkeep.
• Review upcoming units to forecast repairs and prepare punch lists.
