Job summary

Clayens Group in Greeneville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician Level I for the 2nd shift. This entry-level role performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs to keep manufacturing equipment running smoothly and safely.

You will work with senior staff to learn best practices, read technical documents, and follow safety protocols while supporting continuous improvement and uptime across production lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months in maintenance role with emphasis on manufacturing (Injection Molding preferred).
• Must be proficient in Hydraulics, Pneumatic Controls, and Electrical.
• Working knowledge of programming to assist troubleshooting of programmable controllers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and blueprints.
• Familiarity with CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical problems in functional and control systems; repair or replace defective parts to minimize downtime.
• Verify operation of machine sequences; inspect disassembled parts and replace worn components as needed.
• Document findings and measurements; maintain accurate maintenance records and tools.
• Adhere to safety policies and LOTO requirements.
• Collaborate with team to prioritize maintenance tasks and support production schedules.
• Assist in mold setting and participate in training to enhance technical skills.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and facilities upkeep as required.
