Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support StoryPoint of Macomb. You will perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role requires strong hands-on skills, ability to read manuals, and a friendly, service-oriented attitude. Weekend/holiday hours and outdoor work are possible in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or some college credits; or 1+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical; drywall and painting required.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Ability to apply common sense to written or oral instructions.
• You love to laugh and have fun while working hard to provide excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Operates various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with team members.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment or uncertain conditions to the supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area meeting safety regulations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and building or grounds as required.
• Maintains a positive customer service attitude in interactions with staff and residents.
