Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across apartment homes and facilities in Austin, TX. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems while maintaining a preventive maintenance schedule.

The role requires HVAC experience, EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days), and a valid driver’s license. Opportunities for training and advancement are available.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and facilities in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a preventive maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs.
