Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX. You will perform general maintenance and repairs across apartment homes and facilities, diagnosing and fixing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and door hardware as part of a preventative plan.

The role requires 1–3 years in multifamily property management or facility maintenance, plus EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification (or within 90 days). A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, or mechanical repair.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartments and facilities in good order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry issues.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs.
