Job summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker in San Francisco, responsible for a wide variety of maintenance duties including preventative, emergency, and routine tasks. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance, reliable transportation, and be able to operate effectively in an on-call capacity.

The successful applicant will schedule work orders, perform inspections, and supervise vendor work to ensure the community's upkeep.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience performing maintenance tasks in an apartment development or comparable position.
• Knowledge in REAC and other regulatory inspections is a plus.
• Candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to function in an on-call capacity.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and responds to work orders, including following up with residents and management.
• Insures preventative maintenance scheduling and performance is up to date.
• Conducts inspections and performs plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and masonry repairs.
