Job summary

Princeton Management is seeking a hands-on Maintenance role to support residential properties in Fort Wayne. You will work closely with residents, vendors, and fellow staff to keep units and common areas safe and well-maintained.

The position requires the ability to perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair tasks, with flexibility for after-hours on-call shifts. A positive attitude and the capacity to lead by example are essential for success in this team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with coworkers, vendors, and residents.

• Identify and report maintenance issues to management.
• Complete service requests in occupied apartments promptly.
• Maintain common areas and community spaces.
• Prepare vacant apartments for leasing.
• Remove trash and debris from vacant units; assist with evictions.
• Repair or replace window glass and screens.
• Paint or touch up as needed.
• Perform carpentry tasks (drywall, doors, trim, cabinets, countertops, tile).
• Basic electrical work (switches, outlets, fixtures; locate shorts).
• Basic appliance repairs (stove, fridge, dishwasher, laundry).
• Basic plumbing (faucets, sinks, water heaters, unclog drains).
• HVAC repairs; EPA refrigerant certification preferred.
• Maintain exterior lighting (bulbs, timers, photocells).
• Remove ice/snow for safety.
• General grounds duties (trash, plants, fences, etc.).
• Preventative maintenance to keep equipment running.
• Complete work required by municipalities/building inspectors.
• After-hours on-call for emergencies.
• Overtime as needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; climb ladders.
• Assist supervisors with other tasks as needed.
