Job summary

Princeton Management in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a skilled maintenance technician to handle a wide range of repairs and upkeep across occupied and vacant units. You will communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents, prioritize tasks, and report issues to management.

Candidates should be detail oriented, able to work independently or on a team, and willing to perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general grounds tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Professionally communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents.
• Be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Identify and report issues to management involving employees, property or residents.
• Complete service requests in occupied apartments in a timely manner.
• Maintain common hallways and community room areas.
• Turn vacant apartments to make them ready for leasing.
• Repair or replace window glass and screens.
• Paint and touch up as needed.
• Carpentry tasks including drywall, doors, trim, cabinets, countertops, tile work.
• Basic electrical work (switches, outlets, fixtures, wiring).
• Basic appliance repairs (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer/dryer).
• Basic plumbing (faucets, sinks, water heaters, leaks).
• HVAC repairs and EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification preferred.
• Maintain exterior and common area lighting.
• Remove ice and snow for safety, perform grounds duties.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines and tools.
• Complete work required by municipalities and building inspectors.
• On-call after hours for emergencies and customer convenience.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders as required.
• May assist supervisors with other tasks in community operations
