Job summary

Friendship Village Tempe is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community safe, beautiful, and running smoothly. The role involves hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and building systems, with preventative maintenance and active problem solving.

Requirements include a minimum of two years in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, a valid Arizona license, and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card within 30 days. HVAC/EPA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a safety-first mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and work in varying conditions.
• HVAC/EPA Certifications preferred
• Valid Arizona Driver's License
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Tackle repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliances, and building systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and electric carts
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using tools, testing equipment, and schematics
• Assist with HVAC, pumps, motors, and other facility systems as qualified
• Support emergency systems, safety procedures, and building security
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and keep tools and work areas in great shape
• Provide friendly, professional service to residents and team members
