Job summary

Friendship Village Tempe is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our community safe, beautiful, and running smoothly. If you’re a hands-on problem solver who loves fixing things, join our team and help maintain buildings, systems, and equipment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Arizona driver’s license, and at least two years of maintenance experience. Some HVAC/EPA certifications are preferred, along with a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Arizona Driver's License
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (within 30 days of hire)
• HVAC/EPA Certifications preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a safety-first mindset
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and work in varying conditions
• Flexibility for occasional on-call duties

Responsibilities

• Tackle repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliances, and building systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and electric carts
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using tools, testing equipment, and schematics
• Assist with HVAC, pumps, motors, and other facility systems as qualified
• Support emergency systems, safety procedures, and building security
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and keep tools and work areas in great shape
• Provide friendly, professional service to residents and team members

Pay: $22.20-$24.42 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 6:30am-3:00pm
