Job summary

ResProp Management in Austin, TX, seeks a Maintenance Technician to tackle diverse property upkeep, respond to work orders, and coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep common areas safe and appealing.

You will perform preventative maintenance, prepare vacant units for move-ins, and ensure a safe workplace by addressing hazards. This role requires physical effort, reliable transportation, and flexibility to work weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily.
• EPA Type I, II or Universal certification preferred.
• Trade skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, roofing, etc.
• Trade licensing preferred but not required.
• Must have your own hand tools.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the community.
• Willing to work a varied schedule including weekends/holidays.
• dependable transportation and rotating on-call availability.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds as part of physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete work orders promptly with quality workmanship.
• Maintain clean, safe, and attractive common areas (pools, laundry, clubhouses, parking).
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent resident service when interacting with residents, guests, vendors.
• Perform preventative maintenance to sustain property value.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in to ensure quick occupancy.
• Identify safety hazards and address or report them to supervisor.
• Maintain and repair building and site systems as needed.
• Utilize software to track work and personal performance.
