UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Maintenance role at Somerset Estates Community. The position covers groundskeeping, general maintenance, and repairs to community-owned homes and lots, with a focus on safety, professionalism, and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities include inspecting common areas, recording violations, and ensuring daily upkeep of grounds and equipment. Overtime, weekend/holiday coverage, and in-person presence are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Broad experience in home repairs, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.
• Snow plow experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize safety and attend trainings.
• Strong time-management and team-work skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles to inspect common areas daily.
• Record violations observed during inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain grounds: mowing, weed eating, leaves, snow plow.
• Keep work areas clean and ensure clear aisles and exits.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are serviced regularly.
• Take daily water plant readings where required.
• Keep logs of all work performed.
• Complete periodic safety trainings and use chemicals safely.
• Operate power and hand tools safely.
• Follow lockout procedures.
• Communicate professionally with residents and coworkers.
• Assist with new home installations (sewer/water, decks).
• Other duties as assigned.
