Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance technician to support Valley View Honeybrook, Gregory Courts and Mountain Top communities. You will perform groundskeeping, repairs, and basic system upkeep to ensure safe, well-maintained homes and common areas.

The role requires safe operation of equipment, physical ability to lift, and flexibility for on-call overtime. You will log work, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with residents and team members to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Broad range of experience in home repairs, general plumbing, grounds maintenance and operation of heavy equipment.
• Snow plow experience.
• Ability to prioritize safety and attend periodic safety trainings.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles through the community to inspect common areas.
• Record violations observed during daily inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain community grounds including mowing, weed eating, snow removal.
• Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely.
• Follow lockout procedures and safety protocols.
