Job summary

Rite of Passage seeks a Maintenance Worker for the Miami Youth Academy in Miami, FL. The role supports a residential program for male youth aged 14 to 18, performing upkeep and safety tasks on-site to sustain a productive living and treatment setting.

You will handle electrical, plumbing, painting and general repairs, ensuring a clean, organized environment. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Prior building maintenance experience preferred (general maintenance, minor electrical, painting, door hardware, minor plumbing, drains).
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record (past 3 years).
• Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, and TB test.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week with varied schedule and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance at the Miami Youth Academy.
• Conduct minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and door hardware tasks as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environment for youth.
• Prepare written reports and correspondence on maintenance activities.
