Job summary

Rite of Passage - Miami Youth Academy in Miami, Florida is seeking a Group Leader to oversee the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of male youths aged 14 to 18 during shifts.

The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and works with Senior Coach Counselors and Night Coach Counselors to maintain a supportive, therapeutic environment.

We offer a $45,000 annual salary plus comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k matching, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Pass criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
• Pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of youth during a scheduled shift.
• Direct and supervise students and staff to meet service expectations.
• Typically report to the Shift Supervisor; supervision may vary by location.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Group Leaderposition at Miami Youth Academy in Miami, Florida.

Miami Youth Academy: A moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth aged 14 to 18. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based substance abuse services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.

Pay: $45,000 salary, exempt annually

What you will do:

The Group Leader is operationally responsible, through the work performed by Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, and Night Coach Counselors, for the safety, care, and around-the-clock supervision of youth in the program during a scheduled shift. The Group Leader exercises his/her authority on a daily basis through direction and supervision of both students and staff during a shift, in order to meet expectations of the services provided. The Group Leader typically reports to the Shift Supervisor, but supervision may vary by individual location.

To be considered, you should:

• A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
