Equity Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Laguna Beach, CA. You will address resident service requests and perform hands-on maintenance to ensure market-ready apartments and well‑maintained grounds.

You’ll handle plumbing, electrical work, and routine inspections, with a focus on safety and quality. The role requires flexibility for weekends and on-call shifts, plus strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a vehicle.
• Effective written and oral English communication.
• Ability to work weekends and respond to emergencies after hours; on-call responsibilities.
• Physical ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs and other manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform hands‑on maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and more.
• Prepare market‑ready apartments and maintain community grounds.
• Conduct regular community inspections to identify repairs or replacements.
