Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment. The role requires attention to safety, ability to work alone or in a team, and a commitment to keeping guest areas and facilities in top condition.

The position may require flexible scheduling and on-call support, with responsibilities including preventative maintenance, reporting shifts, and assisting with exterior tasks in adverse weather.

• Ability to complete work orders on a timely basis.

• Responsible for knowing Hotel emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of hotel systems and equipment.
• Work with a team or alone while observing health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain buildings and common areas in good condition.
• Prepare reports during each shift for the management team.
• Assist with exterior maintenance in bad weather conditions when required.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
• Check stocking levels of consumables and replace when appropriate.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and Management on technical projects.
