Job summary

Convivial Life Communities in Venice, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform standard and skilled tasks in maintenance and repair of grounds and facilities, with on-call duties during emergencies. This safety-sensitive role requires interaction with residents and staff.

Responsibilities include repairing electrical, plumbing, drywall, and other systems; painting and preventative maintenance; and coordinating with the Facilities Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of general contracting and building systems such as HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Understanding of Florida building codes and regulations for assisted living facilities.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and repair of grounds and facilities.
• Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Familiar with electrical and plumbing systems.
• Patch and repair drywall; perform minor painting.
• Coordinate with Facilities & Engineering Director.
• Carry, lift, and stock supplies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, plant, and grounds.
• Maintain and manage tools and equipment.
