Job summary

The ideal candidate has knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and basic computer skills, with a high school diploma or GED and familiarity with Florida building codes for Assisted Living facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of general contracting, HVAC systems, chillers, generators, wiring, plumbing, carpentry and other engineering related components.
• Understanding of Florida building codes/laws and State/Federal Regulations for Assisted Living Facilities.
• Must be a self-starter who possesses strong organizational skills and communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance and repair of grounds and facilities.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Takes care of tools and equipment and handles supplies.
• Interacts with residents, family members and staff in a courteous manner.
• On-call rotation and availability for emergencies, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
