Job summary

Dane Manufacturing Company in Waunakee, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems to support uptime, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on press brakes, lasers, punches, weld cells, and other fabrication lines; perform preventive maintenance; and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems while following OSHA and LOTO safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred).
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with fabrication equipment (press brakes, lasers, punches).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on fabrication equipment including press brakes, lasers, punches, weld cells, saws, and paint line systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per established schedules.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and basic automation components.
• Align, adjust, and calibrate machines to ensure optimal performance and quality.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations.
• Maintain facility systems and coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs.
• Accurately document maintenance work, parts usage, and downtime; communicate repair timelines.
