Job summary

General Thermodynamics in Iron Ridge, WI is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our production lines running at peak performance. You’ll troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and maintain laser cutting, CMM, and welding equipment while supporting daily operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (fabrication experience is a strong plus).
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills — you know how to get equipment back online fast.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where reliability matters.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and support laser machines, welding systems, and CMM inspection equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance with urgency and accuracy to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in full compliance with OSHA and LOTO requirements.

About the Role

You’ll work directly with laser cutting equipment, CMM machines, welding systems, and facility infrastructure. This is a high-impact role where your expertise directly reduces downtime and improves production flow.

• Take ownership of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and support laser machines, welding systems, and CMM inspection equipment.

• Ensure work is performed safely and in full compliance with OSHA and LOTO requirements.

Physical Demands
