Job summary

Weinstein Properties is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - EPA Certified in Charlotte, NC. You will be placed at one of our properties, with a schedule Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm, and participate in rotating on-call shifts.

The role includes completing work orders, making-ready, and resolving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry items. Starting pay is $22/hour with on-call pay and additional holiday/on-call bonuses; a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) is required.
• At least 3 years of apartment/residential maintenance experience.
• Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work independently while being a team player.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments.
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry items.
• Maintain appearance of the community including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.

What We Offer Our Maintenance Technicians

• Pay: $22/hour (and up, depending on experience)

Maintenance Technician - EPA Certified Schedule

• Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You'll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry items
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We're Looking For In Our Maintenance Technicians

• At least 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
• Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks

Physical & Technical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician

• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required
