Job summary

Weinstein Properties in Nashville is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Make Ready to join our team. This full-time role focuses on turning vacant apartments, performing routine maintenance, and supporting a stable, well-maintained community.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with an on-call rotation, earn $20–$21 per hour, and receive benefits including rent discount, PTO, health/dental/vision, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and HVAC troubleshooting/repair experience is a plus.
• No HVAC certification required if willing to train and seek certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments.
• Assist team with maintenance work orders as needed.
• Maintain property grounds daily.
• Help maintain appearance of community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.

Maintenance Technician - Make Ready Schedule

• Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You’ll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

• Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments
• Assist team with maintenance work orders as needed
• Work with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We’re Looking For In Our Maintenance Technicians

• At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• No HVACcertification required if you are willing to train and work towards getting certified
• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and hands‑on HVAC troubleshooting / repair experience is a plus!
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and prioritizing tasks

Physical & Technical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician

• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required
