Job summary

Weinstein Properties is seeking an EPA-certified Maintenance Technician for Kings Crossing in Richmond, VA. This is a stable, long-term role at a well-maintained community with strong leadership, competitive pay, and excellent benefits designed to support you.

As part of the team you will troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry items, complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments, assist with turns, and participate in rotating on-call schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) is required.
• HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience is essential.
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work.
• Able to work independently while being a reliable team member.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments.
• Assist with apartment turns and make-readies.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry items.
• Help maintain the property's appearance, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.

What We Offer to our Maintenance Technicians

• Pay: $21-23/hour (and up, depending on experience)
• On-call pay:
  • $150/week (calls or no calls)
  • Additional $150 per holiday on-call

Your Schedule as a Maintenance Technician

• Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You’ll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments
• Assist with apartment turns and make-readies
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry items
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
• Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks

Physical & Technical Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required
