Weinstein Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician - EPA Certified to join our team at one of our well-maintained communities in Charlotte, NC. The role involves completing work orders in occupied and vacant apartments, assisting with turns, and troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required.
• Solid hands-on HVAC troubleshooting, repair and replacement experience.
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work.
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments.
• Assist with apartment turns and make-readies.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry items.
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.

What We Offer Our Maintenance Technicians

• Pay: $24/hour (and up, depending on experience)

• On-call pay:

  • $150/week (calls or no calls)
  • Additional $150 per holiday on-call

Maintenance Technician - EPA Certified Schedule

• Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You'll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments
• Assist with apartment turns and make-readies
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry items
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We're Looking For In Our Maintenance Technicians

• At least 5years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
• Solid Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting, repair and replacement experience required
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks

Physical & Technical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician

• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required
