Job summary

Woda Cooper's Oakmont Greene I in Mt. Hope, WV seeks a Service Technician to maintain apartments and grounds, perform repairs, and respond to resident requests. You will work with the property team to keep the community safe, clean, and well-maintained.

The role requires general plumbing and electrical knowledge, use of hand and power tools, and strong time management. On-call availability and a professional appearance are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to read and speak English and follow written and oral directions.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and work in various spaces and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive interactions with residents and the public to enhance the community image and ensure superior resident retention.
• Perform general and emergency maintenance of apartments and common areas including snow removal during snow events after hours and on weekends.
• Create and maintain a customer-centered service culture by demonstrating proactive hospitality with prospects, residents, family members and fellow community associates.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times related to prospect or resident information.
• Maintain an attractive community appearance and overall positive curb appeal.
• Responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of the property, including sanitizing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
• Perform turnover of apartments, including trash out, cleaning, painting, carpet shampooing and other repairs as necessary or directed.
• Identify actual and potential maintenance problems and take appropriate actions to handle them.
