Job summary

Vivmark Residential in Pine Brook, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other systems across our apartment communities.

The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, willingness to be on call, a valid driver’s license, and a customer‑oriented approach to serve residents and maintain properties.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance work.
• Valid driver's license.
• On-call schedule in rotation with the team.
• Ability to communicate with team members and residents for customer service.
• Ability to read and understand policies and procedures including maintenance-related policies.
• Ability to identify cleaning and chemical supplies; understanding of SDS and chemical handling.
• Knowledge of PPE and proper usage.
• Basic understanding of emergency systems, shutoffs, and operations.
• Knowledge of paint types and paint tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, and related areas.
• Completes assigned service requests and repairs in a timely manner.
• Ensures vacant apartments are rent-ready promptly.
• Performs apartment Preventative Maintenance.
• Assists in painting interior and exterior surfaces.
• Maintains a safe Incidents/Injuries-free culture by following safety policies.
• Performs hot works including brazing, soldering, and welding within standards.
