Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community safe, organized, and well-maintained. You will interact with residents, handle service requests and inspections, and support the upkeep of community assets and grounds.

The role requires a valid in-state driver’s license, and preferred experience includes home refurbishments, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool operation. OSHA trainings are a plus, with on-site work and a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• A valid in-state driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience are a plus.
• OSHA certifications or completed trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency in industry software and use of tablets/devices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work orders, and home refurbishments.
• Keep grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris.
• Complete work in a timely manner while upholding safety standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify and resolve leaks in the community.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Aid in new home delivery/set-up and report warranty/follow-ups to management.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
• Participate in team/safety meetings and OSHA compliance.
• Maintain safe winter road conditions via snow removal and de-icing when needed.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles per safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents.
• Work safely around pets, service animals, and wildlife.
• Other duties as assigned.
