Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Miami to keep mechanical systems and equipment operating and common areas clean and disinfected. The role involves performing routine maintenance, painting, light repairs, and completing work orders while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in building trades, with strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors including roof checking for problems and lights out and reports back to supervisors.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintains working relationship with building staff.
• Painting of all common areas and touch up may be required; inspect areas that need paint and advise manager.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Performs minor maintenance and repairs in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, flooring, and other building repairs.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
