Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure all mechanical systems and common areas are well-maintained, clean, and disinfected. You will perform routine inspections, respond to work orders, and support building staff to keep facilities in optimal condition.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in building trades, and strong communication and customer service skills. 50 lb lifting capability and driving license are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Walk floors and roofs to identify problems and report to supervisors.
• Follow safety precautions and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain good working relationships with building staff.
• Paint and touch up common areas and inspect areas needing paint.
