Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help manage daily repairs and preventative facility maintenance in a senior living community. You will perform maintenance tasks, assist with routine repairs, and support safety and compliance efforts to ensure a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

The role involves working on-site, following safety protocols and participating in emergency drills, with opportunities for growth and benefits as part of Sunrise's team.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety protocols (OSHA) and infection control standards.
• Capability to perform preventative maintenance tasks and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures).
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory.
• Support carpet and floor care as needed.
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills.
• Drive community vehicle as assigned.
