Job summary

Greystar seeks a Service Technician to maintain physical aspects of properties, fix issues, perform make-readies, and support daily operations at Berkeley properties. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, OSHA-compliant practices, and strong attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring units are ready for leasing while preserving high property standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance or related experience.
• Prior property management, maintenance, repairs or construction background.
• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling are required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Prepares vacant units for leasing and move-ins (make-ready) and inspects completed work.
• Manages materials, supplies, and vendor coordination with the maintenance supervisor.
• Documents service requests and inspections accurately and on time.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; performs cleaning, pressure-washing, and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.
• Participates in safety meetings and follows OSHA and safety requirements.
