Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Maintenance Tech to ensure buildings meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage the make-ready process for vacant units. The role includes upkeep of grounds and common areas, inventory control, and accurate documentation of requests.

Qualifications

• EPA Type I and II or Universal refrigerant certification required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property as needed.
• Certifications as required by state/local jurisdictions for all service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Execute make-ready process for vacant apartments, from inspections to scheduling vendors and completing tasks.
• Manage materials and inventory with the maintenance department, track usage, and reorder as needed.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for record-keeping.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities including cleaning, painting, and debris removal.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
