Job summary

PLK Communities is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to help maintain the physical integrity of our apartment communities. You will perform property maintenance, prepare apartments for new residents, complete work orders, and service basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Maintenance or handyman experience required.
• Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of on-call rotation.
• Tools listed in the requirements are expected to be available.

Responsibilities

• Perform property maintenance needs.
• Prepare apartments for new residents.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Conduct basic carpentry as needed.
• Handle plumbing and electrical systems basics.
• Maintain property grounds and common areas.
• Service HVAC if applicable; training available.
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash.

Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff:

• Perform any and all property maintenance needs
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Completes work orders
• Basic Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Small Appliance Repair
• Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas
• HVAC service and repair (willing to train)
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
