Job summary

PLK Communities is seeking a skilled, full-time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of its residential apartment communities in Covington, Kentucky. The role includes routine maintenance tasks, preparing units for new residents, completing work orders, and assisting with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry as needed.

On-call rotations for after-hours emergencies are possible. The ideal candidate has maintenance or handyman experience, valid driver's license, reliable

Qualifications

• Maintenance or handyman experience.
• Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Tools: hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multimeter, Allen wrenches, pliers, knife, flashlight.
• Able to respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities And Duties

The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff:

• Perform any and all property maintenance needs
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Completes work orders
• Basic Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Small Appliance Repair
• Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas
• HVAC service and repair (willing to train)
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
