Position Description

Uses advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair all plant equipment, building, and grounds. Performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, and hydraulic systems for various equipment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoots and repairs equipment using programmable logic controllers (PLC).
2. Performs duties related to automation and robotics, machine shop fabrication, preventative maintenance with specialized equipment, and machining or bench operations to alter and repair tools, fixtures, gauges, and guarding.
3. Collaborates with engineers and outside vendors to resolve complex process or equipment issues efficiently and cost-effectively.
4. Trains employees, assigns and directs work, provides feedback on performance, and addresses complaints and problems.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

May involve lifting or carrying engines, parts, or other materials of various sizes and weights. The supervisor will specify essential physical requirements for each role. Ability to perform pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching over an 8-12 hour shift. Ability to stand and walk constantly, operate power/vibrating tools, and operate motorized vehicles during the shift. Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection during the shift.
