Job summary

Jobtailor in Florida is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing processing and packaging equipment. You will address electrical distribution, HVAC, lighting, and related building systems while following planned maintenance procedures to maximize efficiency and lifespan.

Responsibilities include responding to line calls, collaborating with the team, managing parts inventory, and documenting maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with completion of Trade School, Apprenticeship, or relevant Military Experience strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical theory and troubleshooting
  • High level knowledge of electrical circuits and drawings
  • Background in troubleshooting of control/low voltage systems
  • Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment including multi-meters, amp meters, and meggers
  • Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Well versed in maintenance safety protocols including PPE and LOTO
  • Able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Able to work with prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and in confined spaces
  • Ability to identify unsafe situations and work with onsite team leads to mitigate risks
  • Strong verbal, electronic, and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Minimum 21 years of age, or minimum 18 years of age in CT, PA, and WV
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
  • Must be able to meet the listed physical, visual, communication, PPE, environmental, and organic-matter handling requirements

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and install processing and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot the building’s electrical distribution, HVAC, and lighting systems
  • Follow planned maintenance procedures and schedules to maximize equipment efficiency and lifespan

  • Maintain building systems and structures, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and miscellaneous items
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to formulate solutions for building and production equipment problems
  • Assist with inventory of parts and materials
  • Properly document parts and materials usage
  • Document completion of maintenance items according to the Planned Maintenance Procedure
  • Perform other duties as assigned
