Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic maintenance assistant to join a multi-disciplined team on site. You will perform routine and planned maintenance across buildings, with training provided for elevated work platforms and stair tower installations.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient work practices, accurate invoicing, and high workmanship standards. A valid driving licence and willingness to progress in HSE training are required, with on-call flexibility and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Semi-skilled would be an advantage.
• Experience in building work would be an advantage.
• General awareness of Health & Safety regulation.
• Knowledge of permit to work system.
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety training.
• Must have a valid full driving licence.
• Willing to work towards IOSH Managing Safely.
• Flexible approach to working hours – on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Routine planned maintenance tasks as directed by Site Manager/Supervisor.
• Operate MEWP as directed.
• Operate forklift as directed.
• Install and dismantle pasma/stair towers (training provided).
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed to the expected standard.
• Care and proper use of building maintenance equipment and tools.
• Ensure spares and materials are used cost-effectively.
• Support other team members and maintain safety compliance.
• Attend safety briefs and adhere to rules.
