Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. in Rice Lake, WI is seeking a Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift to maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.

You will inspect, lubricate, repair, and replace components; diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues; work with a team and independently; and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs. This role offers overtime and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school, trade school, apprenticeship experience, or relevant certification is highly valued.
• Approximately two to three years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge with proven troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics and use maintenance tools and equipment proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.

• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Job description

Quanex is looking for aMaintenance Technician - 3rd Shift to join our team located inRice Lake, WI.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00p-6:30a | Overtime needs vary daily during the busy season.

The hourly range for this position is $23/hr - $32/hr + $3/hr shift differential based on experience with opportunity for pay increase on an annual basis.

Your Credentials:

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge with proven troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics and use maintenance tools and equipment proficiently.
• Experience working with multiple types of manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with dependable attendance.
