Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift to join our team onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain extrusion and production equipment, including motors, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics, to keep operations productive and safe.

We value teamwork and safety, with a strong focus on continuous improvement. Earn $32.20–$37.95 per hour, includes a 15% shift differential, and a $1,000 new hire bonus; starting wage varies with experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience is required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Intermediate level of experience with electrical and mechanical applications.
• Experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and modifies extruders, pullers, calibration tables, saws, etc.
• Repairs and reconditions hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Facility and grounds maintenance.
• Makes flexibile working-hour adjustments to train and coach others.

Quanex is looking for aMaintenance Technician – 2 nd Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Be the expert who keeps everything moving. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll use your mechanical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain the equipment that powers our operation. From motors and pneumatic systems to conveyors and production machinery, you'll tackle challenges that make a direct impact on productivity and performance.

You'll also be a champion for continuous improvement, helping identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. Salary: $32.20 - $37.95 per hour (rate includes 15% shift differential), starting wage varies based on your experience

New Hire Bonus: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days and 6-months of employment!

Work Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm - 2:00am, Friday 2:30pm - 6:30pm

Work Hours if overtime is required: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm – 4:00am, Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm, potential Saturday hours

What You Bring:

• High School education or equivalent required
• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience is required
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred
• Intermediate level of experience with electrical and mechanical applications
• Experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair
• Excellent communication skills, computers/systems skills, and organization skills
