Job summary

Quanex, located in Rice Lake, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

You'll work in a strong team, follow safety protocols, read schematics, maintain accurate records, and participate in continuous improvement, with overtime during busy season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or apprenticeship experience highly valued.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing knowledge with troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, including inspection, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Document maintenance and repair activities accurately and follow safety protocols.

Quanex is looking for aMaintenance Technician - 3rd Shift to join our team located inRice Lake, WI.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00p-6:30a | Overtime needs vary daily during the busy season.

The hourly range for this position is $23/hr - $32/hr + $3/hr shift differential based on experiencewith opportunity for pay increase on an annual basis.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Credentials:

• igh school diploma or equivalent required; technical school, trade school, apprenticeship experience, or relevant certification is highly valued.
• Approximately two to three years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge with proven troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics and use maintenance tools and equipment proficiently.
• Experience working with multiple types of manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with dependable attendance.
