Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift to join our team onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota. You will apply mechanical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair and maintain equipment that powers our operation, from motors and conveyors to production machinery.

We value safety and continuous improvement, and you will help enhance reliability, safety and efficiency. The role requires 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong tooling skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years industrial maintenance experience.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical applications.
  • Experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair.
  • Excellent communication skills, computers/systems skills, and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and modify extruders, pullers, calibration tables, saws, etc.
  • Repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Facility and grounds maintenance.
  • Must be flexible with hours across all shifts to train and coach.

Job description

Quanex is looking for aMaintenance Technician – 2 nd Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Be the expert who keeps everything moving. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll use your mechanical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain the equipment that powers our operation. From motors and pneumatic systems to conveyors and production machinery, you'll tackle challenges that make a direct impact on productivity and performance.

You'll also be a champion for continuous improvement, helping identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. We're looking for a dependable team player who brings a positive attitude, thrives in a hands-on environment, supports others, and takes pride in maintaining a safe workplace. If you enjoy solving complex problems and making a difference every day, this role is for you.

Salary: $32.20 - $37.95 per hour (rate includes 15% shift differential), starting wage varies based on your experience

New Hire Bonus: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days and 6-months of employment!

Work Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm - 2:00am, Friday 2:30pm - 6:30pm

Work Hours if overtime is required: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm – 4:00am, Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm, potential Saturday hours
