Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery at our facility in Mundelein, IL. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, parts replacement, and rapid repairs to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing, basic database management, and proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Some college preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 2+ years' work experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Database management experience.
• MS Office proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Working knowledge of plant equipment and parts is a plus.
• May be required to work long hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
• Identifies the cause of unexpected breakdown of machine.
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned
