Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery at our Mundelein, IL facility. This full-time role focuses on preventive maintenance, part replacement, and rapid repairs to minimize downtime.

You will document issues, order parts, and work extended hours as needed to keep equipment running smoothly in a busy manufacturing environment.

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Keeps records of damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Identifies causes of unexpected machine breakdowns.
• Repairs machines promptly and efficiently.
• May require long hours and weekends.

Role And Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
• Identifies the cause of unexpected breakdown of machine.
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School degree, some college preferred
• 2+ years' work experience in manufacturing setting
• Database management
• MS Office proficiency, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Working knowledge of plant equipment and parts a plus
• May be required to work long hours and weekends
