Job summary

Wis-Pak Inc. in Mankato, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to maintain equipment, respond to trouble calls, and perform preventative maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will follow all safety, GMP and company policies, document work, and perform tool work including welding and using lifts. Requires ability to lift 50 pounds and read/write English; travel to technical schools is possible.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English to perform duties.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily.
• Willingness to travel to technical schools and adapt to varying workloads.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, health, quality, Food Safety, GMP and company policies.
• Respond to equipment trouble calls and perform safe repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document tasks and deficiencies.
• Perform bench repairs and operate power tools, welding/cutting equipment, and lifts as needed.
• Complete and file all required documentation in an organized manner.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining equipment, responding to trouble calls, and performing preventative maintenance--all while upholding the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Following all established safety, health, quality, Food Safety, GMP, and company policies and procedures.
• Responding promptly to equipment trouble calls and performing efficient, sanitary, and safe repairs.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and documenting tasks, time, and any deficiencies.
• Performing bench repairs and operating power tools, hand tools, welding/cutting equipment, and man lifts as needed.
• Completing and filing all required documentation in an organized and timely manner.
