Overview
The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment including gear and sprocket drives, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, loading systems, production machines and equipment. The role includes performing maintenance duties such as routine facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and mechanical device troubleshooting and repair. The position is a 2nd Shift (Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm) and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, overtime, and potentially weekend shifts as business needs dictate.
Detailed Roles & Responsibilities
- Performs routine facility maintenance as assigned
- Performs preventive maintenance regularly
- PLC troubleshooting
- Observes and troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation by adjusting functional parts and control instruments, and repairing/replacing defective parts
- Optimizes capabilities of various packing (bagging) machines
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices
- Assists in startup processes to ensure equipment operates correctly
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and assists in resolving issues and fostering continuous improvement
- Keeps maintenance shop and parts/tool/belt storage areas clean and organized
- Fills out all required paperwork promptly and accurately
- Works effectively to maintain food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality
- Reports any risks or evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials to a designated manager for immediate action
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Work Experiences
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within a manufacturing facility
- Proven ability to meet customer and management deadlines
- Highly organized, self‑starter able to work with little direct supervision
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Hourly Rate
- Target pay rate is $30 /hour, based on experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs), 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short‑term disability, vacation, holiday, and sick time, available the first of the month following 30 days of employment
- 2nd Shift differential: $1.00 /hr; 3rd Shift differential: $1.50 /hr
