Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Coralville, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift onsite to support production and facilities. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires strong problem solving, the ability to read manuals and schematics, and the stamina to lift heavy parts. A HS diploma and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma; if no diploma, 2 years relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for access to information and security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
• Must furnish basic hand tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and schematics.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facility systems and production equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; collaborate with Engineers to improve performance.
• Involve with facility processes including HVAC, chilled water, compressed gases, safety systems.
