Job summary

ALPLA Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain proprietary ALPLA equipment and support facility operations on a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule (6pm–6am). The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety-first practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, work with PLCs and diagnostic tools, and collaborate with a skilled team to minimize downtime and ensure production targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance safety practices.
• Familiarity with power transmission systems and industrial controls.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with programmable controllers.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on proprietary ALPLA equipment ( extrusion, blow molding, injection molding, packaging systems).
• Conduct preventive maintenance and adjustments to improve performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with molding machines and related systems.
• Use predictive maintenance methods and diagnostic tools to prevent downtime.
• Assist with general facility maintenance and safety improvements.
• Collaborate with facilities team to ensure clean, safe production areas.
