Job summary

Agropur is seeking a Maintenance Technician I in Wisconsin to perform routine and break down maintenance on processing and packaging equipment, ensuring plant operations stay compliant and safe. The role includes night shifts with premium pay and opportunities for advancement.

You will work with production teams, perform electrical and mechanical tasks, and participate in preventive maintenance to support manufacturing goals. AA/EEO statements apply and health benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance/repair experience or training required.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with crew across shifts.
• Coordinate with supervisors and line staff to perform work.
• Repair/replace valves and pumps, including seals and bearings.
• Perform electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starters, motor leads).
• Do sanitary welding and pipe fitting (stainless, copper, PVC).
• Inspect utilities (boilers, air systems, WWTP, water systems, ammonia, HVAC, security).
• Update and install equipment.
• Conduct regular and preventive maintenance per SOPs and GMPs.
• Provide emergency repairs during production as needed.
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled runs.
• Minimize downtime with production teams while preserving quality.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Adhere to GMPs and safety policies.
