Job summary

PLK Communities in Ohio is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment communities in top condition. You will perform property maintenance, prepare apartments for new residents, complete work orders, and handle basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks (training provided).

This role also covers grounds upkeep and trash disposal, with eligibility for time-off, benefits, and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Maintenance or handyman experience required.
• Apt/multi-family maintenance experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Tools listed: hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multimeter, Allen wrenches, pliers, utility knife, flashlight.
• Able to respond to afterhours emergency calls on rotation.

Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff:

• Perform any and all property maintenance needs
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Completes work orders
• Basic Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Small Appliance Repair
• Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas
• HVAC service and repair (willing to train)
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
